One of the best things that I have been blessed with in my careers, is the opportunity to work with some amazing people.
In this case I am talking about those quiet ones that “secretly” make an organization and its owners/CEO look so good. My dental staff, over the years, is a prime example.
This past weekend, I was honored to have nominated such a person to win two awards at the recent homecoming/reunion weekend at my Alma Mater, CWRU. It was with great pride that I watched and listened to Sara Fields, Director of Alumni Affairs, of our dental school accept her awards. She is truly one of the people who, behind the scenes, works so hard and for the past 18 years, made our alumni department work so well. However, she hardly ever got or desired the fanfare she deserved. This past weekend, she got it!
Congratulations to Sara and all those like her who finally got the public fanfare and recognition they deserved!
Action Step: Identify one of the “quiet ones” in your life and recognize them!
The Gratitude List is a simple, yet profound book that guides you to creating a list of people who have meant the most to your life and then using the list to remember and thank them regularly.
It is also a tribute to all the people who I am grateful for in my life. I hope the stories make you laugh, cry and think.
My hope is that this book brings back memories of all the people that have made you who you are today and helps you make your very own GratitudeList.
All proceeds will go to my brother’s charity “The Boris Pavicic Leukemia Foundation.”
